Abandoning pets is illegal and inhumane!
While
University housing policy prohibits keeping pets in or about
Campus residences, some students have them anyway.
Despite
good intentions at the time of adoption, some of those pets
will be lost or abandoned on Campus when students can not take them
home, travelling, or to a new apartment or career.
Critters
left behind in student housing often die of dehydration and starvation,
before they are found by cleaning staff.
Animals abandoned outside may die of starvation or accident
or reproduce if they are unaltered.
